Terms and Conditions of Service
I. Payments for services rendered are due upon receipt of invoices after completion of the scheduled cleaning service unless otherwise arranged with our office prior. Outstanding invoices past due thirty (30) days or more will be billed additional interest at a rate of 2% per month or 24% per year.
II. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. will make all reasonable attempts to collect/recover past-due funds. Accounts past-due thirty (30) days or more requiring third-party collection action, or those accounts deemed to have had all reasonable actions taken to collect outstanding funds owing will be charged a non-negotiable administrative recovery fee of $95.00 in addition to accrued interest charges. This fee will be added to the outstanding account balance without further notice.
III. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. reserves the right to refuse further service if an outstanding account balance is present on or before your next scheduled visit. If no payment is made or no payment arrangement is made with our office 24 hours prior to the day of your next scheduled visit your account may be charged a non-payment cancellation fee equal to 100% of your scheduled cleaning fee.
IV. For new clients, Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. offers an initial cleaning fee waiver program. This introductory offer allows for new clients to eliminate initial cleaning fees by committing to Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. for six consecutive cleanings at the quoted flat-rate fee. Clients understand that this introductory offer is a verbal contract between the Client and the Company. Clients must complete all six visits consecutively, or termination fees apply. Termination consists of any outstanding cleaning visits remaining when the contract is terminated. For example, if the contact was cancelled after four of six consecutive cleaning visits, you the Client would be charged the flat rate fee for the two remaining cleanings.
V. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard & American Express), electronic money transfer and cheque as acceptable methods of payment. Cheques returned to us due to insufficient funds are subject to a $50.00 NSF (non-sufficient funds fee) charged to your account. All fees and charges are due immediately by reissued certified cheque.
VI. For all scheduled visits, Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. requires a current non-expired major credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) to be held on file for incidentals and to secure payment for upcoming bookings. Due to the first-come, first serve nature of our appointment availability, only those clients who provide a major credit card upon booking will be guaranteed a cleaning appointment on their preferred day.
VII. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. requires a minimum hourly charge of one hour for all one-time scheduled visits. Clients may request that service be limited to one hour total but not less than one hour total.
VIII. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. does not issue refunds for services rendered. However, your 100% satisfaction is of paramount importance to us. If ever you are not completely satisfied with our work, please inform our office within 24 hours of your scheduled visit and we will return to make it right at no additional charge.
IX. Due to high volume and for logistical reasons, Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. does not provide in-home consultations or estimates. Clients understand that over-the-phone estimates provided before or at the time of booking are not firm quotations and may be subject to change based on condition and work required. Over-the-phone estimates are given based on information provided to us by our clients. Our Client Experience Team Members are expertly trained to determine time required to complete all work requested. We determine this by requesting information about the property from our clients, our representatives will ask for the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, basements, the approximate square footage and the condition of the property on a numerical scale. Based on the information provided, our representatives will provide an estimate for the work being requested. Upon arrival or throughout the course of our work, should our on-site supervisor determine more time will be required than estimated, our office will contact our client to obtain authorization to continue past the initial estimated time. Should our client not wish to authorize additional time, we will request a priority list and attempt to accomplish said priority list in the time that has been made available to us. However, if we are unable to complete all priority items provided to us because of timing constraints, we will be unable to guarantee the overall quality of our work.
X. Due to the ever-evolving nature of our schedule, we are unable to guarantee the specific arrival time of our staff. However, we do guarantee your property will be serviced on the date as scheduled.
XI. If you need to change or cancel your next scheduled cleaning visit, we require at least 24 business hours notice prior to the cleaning visit. If less than 24 business hours notice is provided to our office, your account may be charged a late cancellation fee equal to 50% of your scheduled cleaning fee or forfeiture of your one-time scheduled visit deposit (whichever is greater). For recurring service clients enrolled in our “Initial Cleaning Fee Waiver Program”, visits cancelled within the initial term of the program are subject to cancellation fees equal to 100% of your scheduled cleaning fee.
XII. If we cannot access your property on the date of your scheduled visit either because a key/code was not provided to us, because no one was present at the property to grant us access, or because our staff was denied entry to the subject property, your account will be charged a lockout fee equal to 100% of your scheduled cleaning fee or forfeiture of your one-time scheduled visit deposit (whichever is greater). Should a same-day request be made for one of our teams to return after we were unable to initially access your property, Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. reserves the right to charge a dispatch fee of $65.00 in order to facilitate said request.
XIII. If we cannot access your property on the date of your scheduled revisit either because a key/code was not provided to us, because no one was present at the property to grant us access, or because our staff was denied entry to the subject property, your account will be charged a lockout fee equal to one man-hour of service ($66.33).
XIV. Should Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. be required to incur incidental charges to complete a scheduled visit (for example including but not limited to: pay per use parking, parking infractions, additional/specific supplies, equipment cleaning fees etc.) clients will be required to reimburse the company for all incidental charges relating to the scheduled visit in question.
XV. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. is pleased to provide all tools, supplies, products, and equipment required to complete cleaning work required at our client’s property. Should a client request that our cleaning staff utilize tools, supplies, products, or equipment that are not supplied or provided by Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. the client hereby understands that any possible damage caused resulting from the use of client supplied tools, supplies, products, or equipment will be deemed to be excluded from our damage/loss policy. Tools, supplies, products, and equipment supplied by clients will be used on an at-client-risk basis only and any liability assumed from use of client supplied tools, supplies, products, and equipment is deemed waived.
XVI. For one-time, initial and hourly cleaning appointments, Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. begins charges for service upon arrival at the client’s property. Once hourly service charges begin, the charges in addition to actual cleaning services may include but are not limited to: parking, vehicle loading/unloading, traveling by means of foot to the final cleaning destination, liaising with condominium concierge, accessing and locating lockboxes, elevator/stair use or awaiting arrival of designates to grant access to the property. Clients understand that these charges will effect time initially estimated by our Client Experience Team and are generally avoidable if such arrangements are made prior to our arrival.
XVII. Should you choose to provide us with a key to access your property for scheduled visits, Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. will mark your key with an internal identification number. At no point will your address or your name be physically tagged to the key you provide. Your key will always be stored in a safe accessible only to our management team. Should the key need to be returned to the client due to a cancellation of service, the key will be made available for pick-up at our office or can be couriered to the client at the address on file at the client’s expense. Clients picking up keys are required to present government-issued photo identification with an address matching the address associated with the key being picked-up. Keys being couriered will require a signature on delivery and cannot be safe dropped at a client’s property by the courier. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. denies any liability for lost or stolen key(s) and it is further understood that the company is not responsible in any way for any lost or stolen key(s) provided to the company by its clients.
XVIII. Clients hereby acknowledge that Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. may take interior and/or exterior photographs or videos for the purpose of documenting the condition of the property. Such photographs may only be used for documentation purposes and will not be reproduced, published, transmitted, disseminated, or displayed in any form or manner, without express written consent of the client and/or his/her agent and/or representative. The client further acknowledges that no formal written consent or specific authorization is required for the Company to take interior and/or exterior photographs or videos for these purposes.
XIX. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. does not remove the garbage, small or otherwise from any property. All garbage will be placed in a sealed trash bag and left at the property. If requested, the sealed trash bag can be placed in the garage or at another location within property boundaries.
XX. Gratuity is not required nor expected, but always appreciated. If you choose to leave a gratuity for your cleaning team, please leave cash so it can be shared equally amongst your assigned team.
XXI. We value our employees and take their safety very seriously. Our policies require that our staff not lift items weighing more than 35 lbs., nor use client-supplied ladders of any kind. If you would an area cleaned that is inaccessible without moving a heavy object, please move the said object prior to our arrival. Areas requiring a company approved ladder higher than two steps cannot be cleaned by our staff.
XXII. To protect our clients, our employees and our business, all staff members are bound by a non-competition and non-solicitation agreement. These agreements legally prevent our staff from providing or attempting to solicit our valued clients with private-based services outside our company. Clients attempting to solicit our professionally trained cleaning staff to provide private-based services is a violation of our Terms and Conditions of Service and will not be tolerated under any circumstance. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. reserves the right to discontinue all services provided should a client attempt to solicit our cleaning staff to provide any services outside of our company.
XXIII. Because we don’t provide on-site estimates and we take the safety of our employees very seriously, Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. reserves the right to deny or refuse service on arrival or during the course of rendering service at a client’s property should the conditions of the said property be deemed, including but not limited to, unsafe, unsanitary, biohazardous or if the work being requested is reasonably outside our regular scope of work. Should it be necessary for our staff to vacate the property for these or other reasons a vacate fee will be charged equal to 50% of your scheduled cleaning fee or forfeiture of your one-time scheduled visit deposit (whichever is greater).
XXIV. Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. is fully bonded and insured. Should an item or object in your home become damaged, require replacement, or repair, please notify us within 24 hours of your scheduled cleaning. We will assess the reported damage and work to rectify the situation to your satisfaction as soon as possible. If any invoices remain unpaid, all rights regarding a damage or loss claim are waived until the outstanding account balance is settled. Opulent Cleaning Services may consider unpaid invoices as a Payment Settlement Agreement in exchange for any damage or loss claim.
By proceeding with and/or booking a scheduled service and/or granting our staff access to your property, you indicate your acceptance of these terms and conditions of service. If you do not accept these terms and conditions of service, please notify our office immediately to cancel your upcoming visit(s). These terms and conditions of service may be amended or updated by Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. from time to time without notice. It is your responsibility as a client of Opulent Cleaning Services Inc. to review these terms and conditions of service for any changes. The use of our services by you after any amendments or updates to these terms and conditions of service shall signify your assent to and acceptance of such revised terms.
